I am contacting you on behalf of the Northeastern Section American Chemical Society’s Gustavus John Esselen Award Committee with our annual Call for Nominations.
Please find attached the invitation for submissions from Dr. Penny Beuning, Chair of the 2025 Award Committee along with the nomination brochure. I would like to reiterate that the award is open to scientists and engineers currently working in the United States and Canada with no limitation respecting the chemical field in which the nominee is working. Details regarding the award and the requirements for submission can be found in the attachments.
In addition to the letter and brochure, I am attaching the press release that appears in the September edition of NESACS’s Nucleus and will be in ACS’s Chemical & Engineering News shortly. Please feel free to post in your Section’s newsletter if you would like.
Nominations are due October 11, 2024. I hope you will review the materials and consider redistributing as appropriate and/or nominating a deserving chemist. I realize that I am very late this year which will drastically reduce options for reposting and distribution. I appreciate anything you can do.
