Abstract: At Merck, we aspire to develop breakthrough innovations that provide lifesaving medicines and vaccines to patients worldwide. In our Process Research & Development organization, that translates to inventing new scientific methods that enable us to create ideal manufacturing processes. When you deliver great chemistry, it provides the platform – and I would argue, the responsibility to not only impact the scientific discipline but also the culture of the field. This talk will highlight some of the chemistry accomplishments to which I have contributed as well as how these achievements have been parlayed into even broader impact.
